Global Category Communications Director for Unilever Personal Care. This role comprised an equal mix of internal and external communications across the Unilever Personal Care category, including the sub-categories of Hair, Skin Care, Skin Cleansing, Deos, Oral Care and Dove & Lynx Masterbrands.
Internal work included editorial and creative direction of two key communications channels: a bi-monthly, global online magazine and a quarterly, global, live-streamed webcast and chat show hosted by a mix of C-suite executives and PC team members.
External communications included comms consultancy for PC brands as they publicly rolled out their contributions to the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, including Axe’s Make Love Not War, Dove’s Self-Esteem Project, Lifebuoy’s Help a Child Reach Five and Vaseline’s The Healing Project.
A key moment included co-ordinating four separate agencies to deliver the launch of Unilever Personal Care to global beauty media to help drive awareness of the newly-created Unilever Prestige category. This was achieved via the People Are Beautiful event: 60 media from 15 markets over two days and three venues.
